Supercell's Squad Busters has teased a potential collaboration with the hit toy and multimedia franchise Transformers. In a video posted to their social media and YouTube channels, we see the Barbarian attempting to unlock a mysterious box, that suddenly draws him in and flashes the Autobot logo.
I mean hey, if it works. Transformers has certainly been on a collaboration spree over the last few years, so we shouldn't really be surprised. However, Squad Busters' somewhat lacklustre launch wouldn't lead you to expect such a major crossover so relatively soon.
We don't know any more details about what the collaboration will entail. But it's entirely possible we'll see unique skins and other cosmetics. And given that Squad Busters does have relatively high production values, we might even see something like a unique map or event to explore.
One thing that I will point out here is that my earlier instinct after the Erling Haaland crossover was correct, and that Supercell seem to be pursuing more crossovers and collaborations. Although I definitely wouldn't have guessed that Transformers of all things would be the first franchise that they crossed over with. However, if anything can give Squad Busters, a decent game by many metrics, a boost after a bit of a floundering launch, I'd say it's a series like this!
