Here we talk about the best (and worst) heroes in the game. If you are a new or returning player, our Anime Crossover Defense tier list will give you a good understanding of the current metagame so you'll know which heroes to use.

In case you didn't know, Anime Crossover Defense is a Roblox experience where you get to collect various heroes based on popular anime/manga titles and use them to defend your tower.

If you never played a tower defense game before, just expect hordes of enemies marching towards your towers. To defend, you need to place your heroes strategically on the battlefield.

OK, with that out of the way, let's go straight to our Anime Crossover Defense tier list.

SS and S tier explanation

So, let's talk a little bit about why I ranked the heroes the way I did. Starting from the top of the list we have the following characters:

Broccoli is a Mythical rarity unit inspired by Broly from Dragon Ball. He has multiple upgrades that significantly enhance his damage, range, and AOE capabilities. However, he is expensive, which is something that you should keep in mind. He is notable as the first Battlepass character and he's been "the meta" character for quite some time. Struggler is a character based on Guts from the legendary manga/anime title Berserker. He has multiple upgrades that enhance his damage, range, and AOE capabilities. However, he has limited range and can risk hitting allies with his strongest attack. He is a great choice for both infinite and standard content, especially as a hyper-carry.

If you are a fan of Solo Leveling, you already know this guy. Joi is a mythic rarity character that can be obtained through raids or the raid shop. His upgrades enhance his range, damage over time, and area-of-effect damage. He has a strong fire AoE ability that also burns targets over time.

Potential Man is a versatile character with various upgrades that enhance his damage, speed, and abilities. While he is effective in early-game defence, the high cost of upgrades may make him less efficient in non-infinite scenarios compared to other characters. His abilities include Cursed Energy Training, Sorcerer Training, Rabbit Swarm, Sorcerer’s Might, Application of Shadows, and Divine General.

Sung Jiwoo aka the Solo Gamer is the main protagonist of Solo Leveling. Of course, he couldn't be missing from our Anime Crossover Defense tier list. He has six upgrade options that enhance his damage, abilities, and experience gain. These upgrades include Assassin Build, S-Rank Hunter, Architect’s System, Ruler’s Authority, Mutilation, and Monarch’s Potential.

Along with Solo Gamer, Slime Lord (Rimuru) is considered to be meta in Infinite mode.

Evil Boss Guy (aka Diavolo) is arguably the best support in the game - that's why he's S-Tier on our Anime Crossover Defense tier list. Bob and Butterfly are great too, and Boulmi also.

A, B and C tier explanation

Before we talk about specific heroes, as a general comment I'd say that overall, A-tier ones are very good, just not as strong as S-tier ones. B-tier ones are not trash or anything; it's just that other heroes have better stats.

C-Tier heroes, though, are trash, so just don't bother with them unless you have to. Curly Brows is a strong character with multiple upgrades that enhance his damage, range, speed, and abilities. These upgrades include Stronger Kicks, Enhanced Genes, Diable Jambe, Skywalk, and Diable Jambe: Concasser. He was the first unit to provide both money rewards and buffs. Clapman aka Aoi Todo from the super popular Jujutsu Kaisen is a decent support character who can provide Crit DMG and Crit Chance bonus to his allies if you follow the top path. EveryMight aka All Might from My Hero Academia is mostly used as a support character (following the bottom path) in various modes. Rengogo who is based on Kyojoru Rengoku from Demon Slayer is a very good DPS character with multiple upgrades that enhance his damage, critical chance, and abilities. These upgrades include Indomitable Will, Perseverance, 4th Form: Flame Undulation, Pure Heart, and 5th Form: Flame Tiger. Rengogo's attacks inflict burn damage, and his Ultimate ability multiplies his current damage by six.

With that said, these rankings might very well change in the future. New heroes might change the meta - always keep that in mind. Also, sometimes the developers buff or nerf certain heroes, so...yeah.

I've enjoyed playing games ever since I was a kid (which was a long long time ago at this point). It all started off with an Atari 65XE, then came an Amiga 500+, a Sega Genesis, a 386, and the rest was history. I consider myself lucky to have been able to experience the gaming evolution over the years - this is my passion, and what I will continue to do for as long as I can.
