If you're a fan of Rebellion's hit series of WW2 sharpshooting sims then you'll be excited to know that Sniper Elite 4, one of the latest entries in the series, is now up for pre-order on iPhone and iPad! If you're lucky enough to own an iPhone 16, 15 or an iPad with the M1 chip or later, then you might want to hold onto some of that Christmas money as it's set to release on January 25th.
For those not in the know, the Sniper Elite series sees you stepping into the shoes of elite sniper Karl Fairburne. Whether it's assassinating Nazi top brass, sabotaging secret projects or disrupting enemy operations, you'll be able to use a variety of weapons, gadgets and sniper rifles (not to mention the iconic X-ray kill cam) to accomplish your mission.
With Sniper Elite 4 taking you to Italy, Fairburne is tasked with upsetting yet another Nazi superweapon project. Massive open levels and missions are made feasible with the help of impressive optimisation, such as MetalFX Upscaling. You'll also be able to use cross-progression and the universal purchase to play Sniper Elite 4 on your iPhone, iPad or Mac.
It's undoubtedly ambitious to bring Sniper Elite 4 to mobile, as even though it's a few years old by now, it's still impressive both graphically and technically. Those lush Italian waves, olive trees and splattered Nazi brains aren't exactly on the level of Candy Crush after all, but if Rebellion can pull it off this may be a new epoch in sharpshooting fun.
