PUBG Mobile's oddball collab with luggage brand American Tourister is now live

Fancy showing off your love for PUBG at the airport?

PUBG Mobile's oddball collab with luggage brand American Tourister is now live
  • The PUBG Mobile x American Tourister collab is live
  • It sees a special physical collection of the luggage brand themed after Krafton's battle royale
  • Fancy showing off your love for PUBG during a trip through the airport?

Ever wanted to show off your love for your favourite battle royale? If you're a Fortnite fan, maybe it's in the form of some sort of branded accessory, or a t-shirt. But if you're a PUBG fan you now have the opportunity to grab officially-branded PUBG Mobile luggage(?!) It runs until January 7th, so let's see what you can nab over the festive period.

Yes, the PUBG Mobile x American Tourister collab we first reported on a little while back is now live, bringing not just in-game items, but also a real-life themed collection of luggage. In-game it looks as if you'll be able to replace your regular backpack with a signature American Tourister one, alongside a standard airport suitcase to acquire.

But it's in real life that the more intriguing stuff is taking place. For one, as we previously reported you'll soon be able to grab limited-edition American Tourister Rollio luggage that features a bit of PUBG Mobile branding, but the brand will also be showing up for the PUBG Mobile Global Championships finals!

Yes, the PUBG Mobile Global Championships have proven a hot spot for collabs, as with the recently-announced presence of Qiddiya Gaming at the event which takes place this weekend at the ExCeL London Arena. American Tourister will also be showing up for IRL activations (sponsorship stuff, essentially) on-site throughout the event.

Suffice it to say, PUBG Mobile has some weird collabs, but at the same time, you can't deny they're consistent in somehow managing to rope in major brands from cars to, well, luggage. I've often observed that, while Fortnite seems to get the major pop-culture stuff, in terms of brands PUBG and PUBG Mobile are very much on top.

What does this say about how well the reach of PUBG on mobile is seen by these companies? Makes you think, doesn't it? But if you're attending the PUBG Mobile Global Championships (try writing that three times fast) this weekend, keep your eye open, because you may see someone dashing off to the airport with a familiar blue and yellow case.
