The eFootball x FIFAe World Cup 2024 kicks off this month in Saudi Arabia
Qualifiers were held in October

- Konami and FIFA's collaboration for the FIFAe World Cup 2024 has borne fruit
- You can tune in to see competitors take on opponents in both console and mobile divisions
- The grand prize? A $20,000 share of an overall prize pot of $100,000!
As we reported a few weeks ago, Konami's eFootball and FIFA have partnered up to bring the FIFAe World Cup to Saudi Arabia this year! The competition, being held across both console and, more importantly mobile, kicks off December 9th. The eFootball x FIFAe World Cup will feature a live audience and also be streamed worldwide.
The qualifiers for the FIFAe World Cup kicked off back in October, and now we have our final participants, with over 54 players from 22 countries in the console division set to participate gruelling 2v2 matches. Meanwhile, mobile has a more select group, with 16 players from 16 countries set to duke it out in 1v1 faceoffs.
The prize for all this play? The lion's share of $20,000 from a $100,000 prize pool of course! And even if you're not lucky enough to be one of the folks competing you can still get in on the action with some rewards. Those tuning into streams from December 9th to the 12th can grab up to 4,000 eFootball points and 400,000GP thanks to daily bonuses.

It must be very heartening for Konami to have been brought on board for this collab. Considering that they have managed to grab not only high-profile partnerships with major football names such as Messi, as well as more pop-culture-oriented crossovers with major names like the Captain Tsubasa manga, this is another feather in their cap.
How much it will resonate with the average player, who may not necessarily be the kind of person to tune in for big-money tournaments, is another matter entirely of course!
