Pokémon Go adding Dynamax and Galar Pokémon in season 16: Max Out

Season 16 of Pokémon Go is on the cards, and a recent showcase by the folks over at Niantic has revealed some big details in this one, and the reason behind the name Max Out. That includes new Pokémon, a brand new mechanic that'll be familiar to fans of the series and new Battle League updates. So without further ado, let's get into it.
First, that big addition. Dynamax is coming to Pokémon Go! Yes, you heard it here first. As part of the GO Big event, this highly-anticipated feature is finally being added. But what is Dynamax, you might ask? Dynamax is a temporary effect that can be used on certain Pokémon, boosting their size and attributes to, well, maximum levels. It allows them to make use of Max moves and more in new Max battles.
You'll need to visit the new Power Spot location and gather Max Particles by doing so in order to enter these new Max battles. Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Skwovet and Wooloo will debut their Dynamax modes in the one-star Max battles, and those caught during Max battles (and their evolutions) can be Dynamaxed during them.
And it's not just Dynamax making the jump to Go from the Galar region either, as new Pokémon from that area will also be added in the new GO All Out event. Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble and Dreepey, alongside their evolutions, are all being added.
Season of the beastDynamax is a major new addition to the game and is further evidence that Niantic is throwing a lot of hotly-requested features in. Ever since the end of Covid, some controversial changes have caused player count to ebb in Pokémon Go. But it seems Niantic have taken that to heart, and come out swinging with major new updates to the game that really put them on the map.
