Capybara Go guide - 7 tips to never get stuck

Advancing in Capybara Go! can be a little bit troublesome...at times. If you don't have any good gears, then moving on to the next stage can often feel like a chore. I have a complete Capybara Go guide to help you make all the best upgrades, so you never have to get stuck on a stage ever again (or at least, until late game when things get tough).

I have shared some tips from my personal experience playing it since its release up until now, and knowing some of these things really helped me better understand what I did wrong in the first place.

From simple tips to some more advanced ones, everything you find here will come in handy at one point or another. Don't worry, though - I am not going to share any tips like "spend $100 and go win" - because that's just not how things work. Instead, I'll focus more on the things every F2P player can manage.

So far I have shared a complete Capybara Go tier list where I ranked every single pet, gear and ability, so if you haven't had a chance to read it yet, I strongly advise you to do so.

It's all about luck - but you can have a say in it too

You probably know by now that Capybara Go is all about luck. Sometimes you have a lucky streak, and you end up gaining lots of stat boosts, while other times you just can't seem to even get a single good skill. That is fine, and to be expected. It's not meant to be cleared on the first playthrough every single time, so you need to adjust your expectations.

With a little bit of know-how, a.k.a. with my Capybara Go tips that I shared below, you can learn what you can work on so luck will not play the main role in your quest to complete a stage. Let's dive right in!

Tip #1 - Always upgrade your gears

gear preset in capybara go

Gears are crucial. Having upgraded gear, even if they are not the top-ranking ones, is huge. Every single time you can make an upgrade, you should go ahead and do it because everything will boost your basic stats.

From there, every multiplier you get (for instance "+10% Max HP") will scale with your basic stats. You should always try to wear the best gear you have. Also, make sure you upgrade everything as much as you can. I know it will cost a lot of Power Stones, but you can get them by farming the Tower.

Also, try to upgrade everything equally. You don't want to focus it all on your weapon, while the rest are sitting at level 1. The lower-level upgrades cost less than the higher-level ones, so try to go for everything equally.

All gear should first be upgraded to level 10, then 20, and so on. If you haven't been doing this, then start now.

Gear level transfers

When you level up your gear, the level will stay between swaps. For instance, let's say you have a green piece of armour that you upgraded to +12, but then you managed to get a purple one. Just swap the green one for the purple one, and you'll notice that it will also be +12. That's why it is so important to level up gear as much as possible.

Tip #2 - The order you should level up your Talents

talents upgraded with increased stats

Talents are one of the best ways you can increase your basic stats in Capybara Go. These Talents will also unlock new features at the start of the game, and later on will give you additional "passives".

You have HP, ATK and DEF. Always prioritise ATK. Max out the ATK, then move on to HP, and then finally, level up the DEF. This is the absolute best order you can upgrade them in because ATK is what matters most in the game - then, it's HP, and finally, it's the DEF.

Tip #3 - What about the Treasure Chests

treasure chest with limited treasure chest progress

When it comes to Treasure Chests from the Shop, you should always go for the Limited Treasure Chest. This chest will cost as much as the Legendary Treasure Chest, and the drops are essentially the same, but the difference is that with each pull from the Limited Treasure Chest, the meter for a guaranteed S-Epic goes up.

Also, you should always save up 2980 Gems to pull 10 times, instead of doing single summons. The 10x summon costs as much as 9 summons, so you get one free. It's a lot more than you might think, and since you need to pull 180 times for a guaranteed S-Epic, you should absolutely do it.

You will still get a guaranteed S-epic every 6 summons, so on top of the 3 guaranteed ones, you will also get a fourth from this chest.

Tip #4 - Angel vs Demon & other encounters

list of very good abilities granted by angel

Now it's time to talk about some interesting encounters during your battles. Let's talk about them separately.

Angel

You will sometimes run into the Angel, who typically gives you a choice between two good abilities, or one ability and one recovery. Always go for the ability, since that will be a lot more useful than a random recovery effect that might not even prove useful if you're unlucky.

Demon

The Demon offers you a random ability in exchange for some of your flat Max HP. This could be good SOMETIMES, but be very, very careful. Many times, it's just not worth it - just because it's a good ability doesn't mean it's beneficial for you at that specific moment.

Don't get baited and reduce your Max HP for no reason, just to get a random skill that might not even fit your kit. Think it thoroughly.

Chance encounters

You can run into encounters like the skeletal corpse or the spinning wheel, that will tell you there is a % chance for success. I recommend you always go for these because in my experience, 90% of the time they will give you something good. I like to go for the chance encounters every time because they can give you flat stats, % stats and even unique skills.

Battles

You can sometimes run into encounters that ask you whether or not you want to fight or flee. I recommend you go for the fight 80% of the time. If you have HP or Lifesteal, or if you think you might still be too weak to face the final boss, then go for all of these battles. They will give you good abilities as rewards in addition to other stats.

Tip #5 - Let's talk quests

dungeon list in capybara go

When you first start the game, you will have the 7-Day Carnival quest. This consists of 7 days and several quests each day, and I recommend you try to do them all. The reward is a Revival Cape, which is a really, really good S-Epic gear.

Other than this quest, you should always do your Daily and Weekly tasks. These can be found in the Menu> Tasks, and they are all pretty simple. Just carry on about your day as a capybara, and complete them at your own pace - but daily!

Events and dungeons

In the Events tab you will have all of your daily encounters. The daily dungeons can be completed for a limited time every day (more if you watch ads, but that's a topic for the next page), and the other challenges can be completed as much as you can.

You should do all of the Dungeons every single day, especially the Celestial Tree one (for pets) because you want to reach at the very least Level 6 ASAP, and then 9, and then 11/12.

As for the Tower, you should go for it as much as you can advance. When you can no longer beat it, leave it as is and keep playing to upgrade your capy. Eventually, you will clear them all.

Tip #6 - Let's talk about the seemingly endless ads

endless ads in capy go when buying stamina

The game seems to thrive on ads, and as an F2P player, it tends to get a little bit boring and repetitive after a while - especially since the game shows you the red notification mark if you haven't watched an ad yet. That's honestly a little bit annoying, but you learn to live with it.

As an F2P player, you will eventually want to use that to your advantage. I recommend you watch ads to open chests as well as to replenish your Dungeon tickets. These will go a long way.

Tip #7 - What to do when stuck?

Every so often, you might end up getting stuck at some point - you can't seem to get past a stage, you can't beat a boss, or you can't get lucky with your encounters and abilities. That is perfectly normal, and there are a few things you can do to get past the "stuck" phase. Here are some of them:

Travel

Travel will let you farm your last completed stage idly, and give you all the bonus loot from it - mainly Gold and sometimes chests. You can choose to travel with a few different multipliers, depending on how much Stamina you have. I recommend you always do this when you are stuck, because the additional gold (with multipliers) will let you upgrade your Talents quite a bit.

Events

There are the events that are time-limited, and the events that are present at all times. You should do all of them whenever you can't progress further, because they'll give you a lot of other useful materials and that could be just what you need.

That's the complete guide for Capubara Go. Don't forget to redeem all the codes for Capybara Go since they will give you a bunch of free Gems!
