About the Pocket Gamer Awards 2024

The Pocket Gamer Awards are a celebration of the best in mobile games, from the publishers of the leading and longest-running mobile games website. Since 2006, Pocket Gamer has been delivering news, reviews, tips, guides and features that inform and entertain mobile and handheld gamers around the world.

Organised by industry experts but voted on by you, the gamers, the Pocket Gamer Awards reward the passion and effort that developers pour into making games. The last 12 months have flown by and we've also seen some amazing games come our way.

The process unfolded in three stages. Here’s how it worked:

STEP 1: NOMINATIONS - STEP COMPLETE

We reveal the categories and invite the world – that includes you – to nominate their favourite game in each category. This process lasted until October 31st at 6 PM UK time and helped us build the longlist. For those who needed inspiration, where better to check than through the Pocket Gamer archives? Any game that was released between 1 October 2023 and 30 September 2024 was eligible as a new release, while some categories leant instead on mobile gaming's vast back catalogue.

STEP 2: VOTES

We totalled up the responses and make sure nothing important was missed. From this, we created a shortlist. We revealed that shortlist right here at the start of November. Fans and players then had the entirety of November to vote on the shortlist. They came out in droves and made their voices heard, which led on to our final step.

STEP 3: WINNERS

On December 6th, we held a live event to reveal the winners of each of the categories in a celebration of the greatest games as voted by the game-adoring audience. You can find the winners through the top menu above, or click here.
