Disney Pixel RPG hits one million downloads a week after launch

Having only released a mere week ago, Disney Pixel RPG has already surpassed one million downloads across the globe, developer and publisher GungHo Online Entertainment has revealed. Apparently, both nostalgic visuals and playing on childhood memories have proven enough to entice people into trying this cutesy RPG.
But, has anything truly hit one million downloads unless there's something to commemorate the occasion? When it comes to mobile, the answer is always no. Big figures only count if we get some goodies. GungHo is happy to oblige, offering 10x Premium Gacha Ticket to anyone who logs on before October 29th.
That's now all, however. You can snag yourself a further ten tickets, again by simply logging on, giving you a total of 20 free pulls for doing absolutely nothing. Why? Well, apparently, Disney Pixel RPG reached number one on a storefront. So it's a double celebration! To get your rewards, tap the menu button in the bottom left-hand corner and then Mail, where they'll be waiting for you.
While those numbers might be impressive, the current general consensus about the game quality is slightly middling, with Disney Pixel RPG sitting at a 2.5 on Google Play, though it fares a little better on the US App Store, where it has a 3.5.
When reviewing Disney Pixel RPG, Will leaned towards the higher end of the scale, finding it an enjoyable enough time with a few caveats that might be a dealbreaker for some. I spent a little while trying it out over the weekend and absolutely adored the aesthetic but didn't find the turn-based battles particularly engaging. Still, if you're looking for a more casual experience, it might be ideal for you.
