Ananta drops sizzling new trailer to show that the hype is very much real
  • Gorgeous visuals and stunning world
  • Interesting combat and action-packed animations
  • An upcoming contender to Zenless Zone Zero

NetEase Games and Naked Rain are hyping up their upcoming RPG with a shiny new trailer for Ananta, offering another urban fantasy experience on mobile to challenge the status quo. At first glance, it does seem like it's taken plenty of inspiration from HoYoverse's Zenless Zone Zero, so whether or not it's going to step out from that gargantuan shadow remains to be seen.

In Ananta, you can look forward to exploring the vibrant landscape of Nova City, complete with its neon lights, fast-paced car rides, and sizzling sunsets. It's not all sunshine and butterflies though, as working for the A.C.D. (Anti-Chaos Directorate) as an elite Agent is no easy task.

Essentially, you'll have to get to the bottom of this unexplained paranormal phenomenon plaguing your world, all while encountering a quirky cast of colourful characters along the way. As for the city itself, it's a living and breathing being too, in such a way that there's no limit to what you might just discover around every corner - from the sun-soaked beaches to the hoppin' Sonic Boom Club.

What's interesting is that the combat seems to be a more strategic affair, as you'll apparently have to choose between order and chaos and use your environment to your advantage. I personally loved the combat in Zenless Zone Zero, so here's hoping this new contender can improve upon that and more.
